It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Forrest William MacDonald of Greenwood (April 26, 1946 - April 12, 2020) in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow Born in New Glasgow he was a son of Forrest Joseph and Margaret (Swain) MacDonald.
Forrest was very well liked by all that knew him. He was well known for his big smile and witty personality. He loved his family and was a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty (Keddy) MacDonald of 52 years, sons Shawn (Debbie) MacDonald, New Glasgow; Allan MacDonald at home; daughters Elizabeth Link (Dan), Stellarton; Cynthia Lees (Richard), Ontario; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Forrest will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He was predeceased by both his parents, brother David MacDonald, sister Deborah Coady and brother-in-law Robert Coady
Due to current restrictions cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held in the Castle Hill Cemetery, MacLellan’s Brook at a later date.
