Obituary of Jessie Margaret MacInnis

Jessie Margaret MacInnis age 93 of Meiklefield, Pictou County passed away April 10th, 2020 at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born on February 19th, 1927 in Garden of Eden she was a daughter of the late John James (Jack) and Barbara Jane (Inglis) Fraser. Jessie spent her married life in Meiklefield where she worked the family farm and raised her family. She was a lover of gardening, knitting, spinning, quilting, genealogy and of all animals. She would be happiest spending time with her animals or in the flower garden. Jessie is survived by her sons Ritchie (Heather), Meiklefield and Royce (Kevin), Shemogue, NB; grandchildren John, Sayward, Adam, Andrew and James; several great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephew. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy (Dot) Chisholm (Arnold), Linacy and brother Calvin Fraser (Mary), Garden of Eden. She was predeceased by her husband Walter MacInnis, Sister Joyce, Brothers John and Andrew Fraser Under COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation or service at this time. A private family burial will take place in the Meiklefield Cemetery at a later date. H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow has been entrusted with arrangements. Donations in memory of Jessie may be made to the Knox Presbyterian Church, Blue Mountain, Blair Presbyterian Church, Garden of Eden or the SPCA.
