It is with great sadness the family of Evelyn Delaney (nee Tucker) announces her passing on February 25, 2020 in her 81st year.
Predeceased by her parents James and Edith Tucker of Stellarton and by her brothers William, Allister and Buddy.
Evelyn was born in New Glasgow and was predeceased by her husband James Delaney in 1978.
She was the loving mother of William (Gerard) Sydney NS; Annette Lucas (Kevin) New Glasgow and Raymond (Kathy) Pembroke ON; cherished grandmother of Emma and Abby Pembroke, ON.
Survived also by her beloved sister Carmaine Walker (John) Sydney; Vernon, Stellarton; Gerald (Sharon) Truro.
Evelyn will be forever missed by many friends and family in her home town and well as in Ontario where she spent many years. She was always there to lend a helping hand and has been a lifetime volunteer with many auxiliary’s as well as the Royal Canadian Legion.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters, playing cards with the lady’s, traveling to see family and making some great homemade meals.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Monday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson presiding. A reception will follow in the Sister Catherine Steele Center.
Burial will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery.
Donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of one's choice.
