Obituary of Marjorie Jean Hattie

Hattie, Marjorie Jean, 82 of Glenelg, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2020. Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia on July 9, 1937 Marjorie Jean was a daughter of the late Archibald and Jenny (MacDonald) Cameron. Marjorie grew up in Cameron Settlement. She was a member of Glenelg Presbyterian Church, a life member of the Atlantic Missionary Society & Rose Auxiliary and a member of the East River St. Mary’s Sunlight Rebecca Lodge. Marjorie resided in Glenelg for 63 years after she married Cecil and was a loving stay at home mother to their four children. Marjorie is survived by her husband Cecil Hattie, son Archie (Lorraine), Dartmouth, NS; daughters Corinne (Mike) of Alexis Creek, BC; Pamela (Mark) of Bridgewater, NS; Sheila (Ken) of London, ON; sisters Verna (the late Jack) and Marilyn (Clarence); grandchildren Katie, Kyle, Melanie, Miranda, Connell, Lane, Cameron, Ceilidhe, Molly, Sarah, and Andrew; great-grandchild Leo; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Helen (Paul), Irene (George), and an infant brother and sister. Visitation will take place on Tuesday February 25 from 2PM- 4PM and 7PM - 9PM at the Glenelg Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday February 26 at 11AM at Glenelg Presbyterian Church with Debbie Stewart presiding. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marjorie can be made to the Glenelg Presbyterian Church, Evergreen Cemetery, or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to H.W.
