Obituary of Anna Vivian Cameron

Anna Vivian (Greene) Cameron Anna Vivian (Greene) Cameron 87 of East River St. Mary’s passed away peacefully at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on Thursday Feb 13, 2020. Born on Feb 3, 1933 in East River St. Mary’s, she was the daughter of the late William & Mary (Moser) Greene. In her early years, Anna worked at Sears in Halifax, and taught school in Green’s Brook, Pictou County. After her marriage to Gordon, they made their home in East River St. Mary’s where they raised their children on the family farm. Anna attended Zion Presbyterian Church. She had a love for planting flowers, gardening, cooking, baking, making preserves, as well as reading and knitting, and was happiest when her family were all together. Anna especially enjoyed seeing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren visit. Anna’s phone calls, visits, cards, and sense of humor will be missed by many. Anna is survived by children- Kevin (New Glasgow), Catherine (Jim) Barbour (New Glasgow), Margie (Brian) MacCallum (New Glasgow), and Rosanna (Stephen) Greene (East River St. Mary’s); grandchildren- Jamie (Alicia), Michael (Karen), Maranda (Brad), Corey (Allison), Kristen (Dartagnan), Colin (Kallee), and Kayla; great-grandchildren- Alexis, Hoyt, Jade, and Brooke; siblings- Marion Hattie, Grace Gunn, and James Greene. Anna was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Daniel Gordon; infant children Grace Ann & Daniel William; siblings Elmer Greene, Joyce Archibald, Harold Greene, and Margaret MacDougall. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday at the HW Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday from Zion Presbyterian Church East River St. Mary’s with Debbie Stewart officiating. Burial will take place in Valley View Cemetery. Donations may be made to Valley View Cemetery, or to a charity of one’s choice.
