To the family of Brian Cameron:
I remember Brian when he worked out of the St. Peter's DNR office. Even though I am a retired N.S.L.S., I was working for a law firm in Port Hawkesbury and we got to talk at times on the phone regarding boundaries, properties, etc. or anything to do with land. Then we met again a couple of times at the Gaelic College at the Cape Breton Fiddlers Festival. Sheila, I remember meeting you there with your dad. Have you continued to play the fiddle even though you are across the water. My wife Yvette joins me in extending sincerest condolences to the whole family,
Marcellin Chiasson, N.S.L.S. ($ 355)

Ed Strickland - I spent a year in residence with Brian at Mount Allison University in 1963-64, first time away from home for both of us I believe, and some of the fondest memories I have of my whole life. I truly loved Brian's dry wit and great sense of humour. Our paths took us in different places, me to Alberta and Brian to so many places in our beautiful Nova Scotia. We only met once after our time at Mount A. and that was just a few years ago when we were home on vacation and I contacted Brian and my wife Jeri and I went out and visited Brian and Ann. I enjoyed that visit so much. A few moments ago I was truly shocked and am very saddened to read about Brian's early passing. My sincerest condolences to Ann and all of Brian's family.

I first worked with Brian at a control survey camp located in Dominion, Cape Breton and later shared experiences as Crown Land Surveyors with the Department of Lands and Forests. He was always considered in highest regard by all who worked for him and with him. We did have a shared experience of being bitten by the same horse in the Mira area of Cape Breton. This particular horse had a dislike of a control survey monument located in his field. It was a pleasure to have known you Brian - I will try and raise my standards with regard to my woodpile. ..... My deepest sympathy to Brian's wife and family at this time in your great loss.
I was shocked and saddened to read of Brian's passing while I am away in Florida. I have many great memories of our time together while attending the Land Survey College with my "best buddy" Brian. We both boarded at the Banks house.
Brian was a good friend. Though we didn't see each other too much after graduating, I often remembered our good times.
So long old friend.

I believe I first met Brian in the early fall of 1968 at a survey camp in Lewis Lake near Hammonds Plains. I had no way of knowing then that would be the start of a long work relationship and a friendship that would last through those years. It is with sadness today that I write this and send condolences to his wife Ann and family. Rest in peace my friend.....Lyall Parker

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Brian. I first met Brian in my second year at NSLSI as we travelled together on the weekends coming home. Also had many dealings with Brian while I worked with LRIS. My thoughts of both Brian and his Father Hoyes was that no one knew the wood lines in Pictou County better than them.
Thinking of many fond memories.

To Brian’s family my sincere sympathy and condolences on your loss.
I remember Brian from my title searching days at the Pictou registry. He was a man of integrity, always respectful and helpful if you had a question about a location or property.
May your memories give you strength, comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Christy Ann Cameron and Family. Sorry to hear of Brian's passing. His obituary certainly described him as he lived and why we always admired him and enjoyed being with him at the yearly DNR Crown Land Surveyors Meetings at various places around the province and I have many fond memories of his wit and dedication to the survey profession. May God Bless. Wayne Hardy, an old DNR Surveyor from Sydney.

Christy Ann & Family.
I had the pleasure of working within the Land Surveys Division of the Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forests as Brian did for many years until reaching retirement age. He was such a wonderful man to be associated with and I can tell you he was a dedicated land surveyor who always strived for accuracy carrying out his land survey projects. I convey my deepest condolence
to you and all family members.

Christy Ann and Family,
So sorry to learn of your loss. Brian exercised his intelligence and wit as a student of mine at NSLSI. I benefitted from having him as a student and enjoyed our conversations at the ANSLS Annual Meetings. He will be missed by the Survey Profession. Our thoughts and sympathy are with you.

I met Brian only once a few years ago. He played piano while I played a little mandolin and I could tell just from that moment that he was a great man who cared for his family. It was a very welcoming home. My condolences to the whole Cameron family.
