John Alexander (Sandy) Gillis
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Sandy Gillis on January 20, 2020 of Stellarton.
Born on September 15, 1959, Sandy was the son of Lois Katherine (Kellock) and the late John Fraser Gillis.
Sandy was retired with over 40 plus years working for Michelin Tire and enjoyed his years playing hockey and golfing with his Michelin buddies.
Sandy’s memory will always be treasured by his children Ryan, Mitchell (Lindsey) and daughter Tessa as well as his granddaughters Olivia and Zoe and former spouse Marion (MacKenzie).
Sandy will also be greatly missed by his mom Lois as well as his brothers Peter, David, Irving, Ian (Kathy), Allan (Tracy) and his sister Lisa (Jimmy). As well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Sandy was predeceased by his father John and brothers Philip and Mark.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by family request.
Donations can be made in Sandy’s memory to Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
