Arthur Meighan Dwyer age 99 of Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou passed away on Jan. 8, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in River John he was a son of the late George and Florence (Robinson) Dwyer
Arthur was a Veteran of WWII. He owned and operated his own service station in Yarmouth and later started the Volkswagen dealership in New Glasgow.
He is survived by a daughters Dorothy (Donald) Woolley, New Glasgow; Karen Dwyer, Alberta; son Wayne (Joan) Dwyer, Port Dufferin; 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife Elizabeth Irving, son Sterling, brothers Leslie, Gordon, Cyril, James, Austin, William, Bennett and Wesley, sisters Florence, Mae, Violet and Myrtle.
At Arthur’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
