William James “Bill” Murray – age 75 of Macoll St., New Glasgow passed away December 31, 2019 at home. Born in Halifax he was a son of the late Frank and Ida May (Samson) Murray.
Bill has been a resident of New Glasgow since his retirement in 1999. Bill was a First Class Stationary Engineer having worked at Dalhousie University, the QEII Hospital and the Nova Scotia Hospital.
He is survived by his wife the former Barbara MacDonald, children Murray James, William J. Jr. (Shirley), Tony (Tracy), David (Rhonda) and Kimberley Ann (Blaine) White, 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sister Mary Dickson and brother David Edward Murray.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no service or visitation by request.
Donations in his memory may be made to the nova Scotia heart and stroke Foundation.
