Obituary of Stephanie Ann Denny
Pictou Landing First Nation : Stephanie Ann Denny age 46 passed away peacefully on Sunday November 3rd ,2019 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital ,New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow she was the daughter of Diane Denny and the late Gordon Stephens. Stephanie was a resident of Pictou Landing First Nation . She worked as a personal care worker and also worked in the fishing industry . While attending school she excelled in gymnastics and was a step dancer which she enjoyed . She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. Stephanie enjoyed making and sharing dreamcatchers. Surviving are her mother Diane Denny of Pictou Landing First Nation. Her children Victoria Denny (Garrett) of Pictou Landing First Nation ,Joey Denny (Taylor) of Pictou Landing First Nation ,Sequoyah Denny (Melissa) of Arichat ,Hope Denny of Halifax ,Kevin Denny of Pictou Landing First Nation and granddaughter Paisley . Brothers: Gordon (Gordie) Denny of Pictou Landing First Nation , William Lewis , Adrian Lewis both of Shubenacadie, Shawn Stephens ,Daniel Stephens and Chad Stephens all of Millbrook. Godmother Darlene Bachari of Pictou Landing First Nation , a number of aunts ,uncles , cousins and friends .She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Frank and Martha Denny ,paternal grandparents Dan and Rita Stephens . Her remains will rest at 132 Birch Street , Pictou Landing First Nation for visitation after 4 P.M. on Thursday . Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 A.M. from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with Father Tom MacNeil officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
