Obituary of Gerald Beadle
Gerald Leonard Beadle, 67, of Moncton, New Brunswick died October 17, 2019, in the Moncton City Hospital.
Born in St. Stephen, NB he was a son of the late Walter and Marion (Beadle) Francis.
Gerald was a resident of Moncton but was from the Pictou Landing First Nation. In Moncton he volunteered countless hours to the city as well to the homeless. He most recently was employed by the Federal Government of Canada under a mental health project headed by the Honourable Member of Parliament, Claudette Bradshaw. Gerald was inspired by his love of music and was found in many towns performing Karokee's.
He is survived by his former wife Linda Ann Francis, Pictou Landing First Nation; sons Jonathan Beadle (Amanda Lorette) Faron Beadle (Nadine Benoit) both of Pictou Landing First Nation; daughters Aileen Francis, Priscilla Beadle (Gordie Prosper) all of Pictou Landing First Nation; brothers; Walter Francis Jr. Richard Francis, Jonathan Francis, Jonaphan Francis, Karl Lafford, all of Eskasoni; sisters; Virginia Augustine of Massachusetts, Maurina Beadle of Pictou Landing First Nation, Mary Francis, Beverly Francis, and Eunice Lafford, all of Eskasoni. Gerald is a grandparent, uncle, great uncle, godfather and friend to so many. He has several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by brothers Fabian Francis, Eskasoni; and Thomas Beadle, Pictou Landing First Nation.
His remains will rest at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church in Pictou Landing First Nation after 2pm Monday. Mass of the Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom MacNeil presiding.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
