Obituary of Blanche Margaret Steeves

Blanche Margaret Steeves age 91 of Mt. William passed away on October 10, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Debert she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Bessie (James) Matthews.

Blanche was a resident of Hillsborough, NB before moving to Pictou County in 1968 where they resided in Abercrombie and Mt. William. She was an adherent of First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow.

She is survived by a daughter Donna (Eddy) Hudson, Hopewell Hill, NB; son Blaine (Margaret) Steeves, Mt. William; grandchildren Alan (Kelly) MacLeod, Stephen (Terri) Hudson, Dana MacLeod, Susan (Fabian MacLeod) Hudson, Erin MacLeod, Stacey (Eric) Lockhart, Shelly (Tim) McNaught; great-grandchildren Robin (Matt), Holly, Darren, Ben, Grace, Tyson, Kiera, Brandon, Bryanna, Garrett, Sadie, Paityn and Jack.; 2 great-great-grandsons Owen and Liam; 2 special daughters and families Jane (Jim) Stewart, Little Egypt;  Nancy (Gary) McNutt, Hillsborough, NB; special nieces Lorian (Rick) Randall, Lynn (Robin) MacLachlan, several nephews and nieces; only aunt Melba (Matthews) Beeswanger, Debert, NS.Blanche was predeceased by her husband Larry.

A memorial service will be held in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel New Glasgow at 2 pm on Monday October 14, 2019 with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow. Burial will be in the Debert Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow, Pictou County Food Bank or a charity of your choice.
