Colby Michael McDonald-
Pictou Landing First Nation; Colby McDonald age 17 passed away at the QE 11 Health Sciences Center, Infirmary site on Sunday, July 28th 2019.
Born in Halifax at the IWK, he was the son of Monica Denny and Robert Lewis(step-father) of Eskasoni and Michael McDonald of Sipekne'katik.
Colby was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. Colby just recently started a summer job at the First Nation Flavors in Pictou Landing. Colby was well known and loved by many, he never failed to bring light and laughter to those who knew him. He loved spending time with his family, friends, playing video games, going to the movie theatre and dirtbiking.
Survived by is his parents Monica Denny and Robert Lewis of Eskasoni and Michael McDonald of Sipekne'katik; step-mother Sharon Paul, Shubenacadie; grandparents: Michelle and Gary Denny, Pictou Landing; siblings: Terin Lewis, Kota Lewis, Kashtin Lewis, Kirstin Ward, and Kris Paul all of Eskasoni; Ashley Julian, Sipekne'katik; Marylee Johnson and Savannah Johnson, Chapel Island; Evan Michael Tabbi-McDonald, Boston; Jenna Bernard, Membertou; uncle/godfather Gary Denny Jr, Godmother Sylvia Bernard, Uncle Eric Denny (Larissa Paul), Godchild Hazen Denny and many great aunts and uncles.
On behalf of Colby's family we would like to thank the ICU Doctors and Nurses at the Queen Elizabeth II, Infirmary for their comfort and support for the family while he was there.
His remains will rest at 161 Beach Rd. Pictou Landing First Nation for visitation after 7 P.M. on Thursday, August 1st, 2019.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 10 A.M from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom MacNeil presiding.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.
