Reading this makes me sad.
I remember Ashley from before I moved to Sweden, but also from the few trips back to Stellarton.
I have thought about Ashley many times since the last time I met him, must have been in 1980, when I was home for my uncle Bill’s wedding.

I have not been in contact with Ashley for many years but I know he and Brad were very good friends. Ashley was the Best Man at our wedding, such a happy day for all of us. I am so sorry to hear about Ashley’s passing. Ashley was one of those great guys who was successful in life but never did it any way other than his special way. He was a great fried and classmate in Dental school and it was super to hear his voice last summer after many years. Ashley and I were each others first- that is for local anesthetic. We practice on classmates giving needles and Ashley was my partner –I was numb for days after those many injections that first day. I have many memories of Ashley but one that stands out is the ski trip a number of dental students took to Quebec, Ashley and I decided to take a detour and went on a road trip to Montreal for a coupe of days – great memories. You will be greatly missed.

We are all so sorry to hear this.
All the guys in our neighborhood use to listen to a lot of music in my basement.
One day in particular back in 77 or 78 , Ash and I were practicing guitar, he had an acoustic and I had an old electric that he could play much better than I could.
We were trying to play a Trooper song, We're here for a good time (Not a long time).
He liked the sound of my guitar so much, he said "Would you mind selling this to me? " I couldn't play it very well anyway, so I said sure.
I think it was fitting that playing that song with Ash back then, stuck with me, we are not here, for a very long time.
We will all miss him, I know I will, but we will still have all those memories to share.
