John Henry Patterson age 65 of Stellarton, passed away unexpectedly on July  15TH , 2019 at home. Born February 24, 1954 in New Glasgow he was a son of the late John Richard “Pat” and Mary Henrietta (MacDonald) Patterson.

John was a resident of Stellarton most of his life and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. He was a former employee of the CNR working in Stellarton and Moncton. He was an associate member of Branch No. 28 Royal Canadian Legion, Stellaton.

He is survived by his son Derek; siblings Don (Deanna) Patterson, Alberta; Shirley (Kevin) Pelerine, New Glasgow; Todd (Evelyn) Patterson, Alberta; Joan (David) Murray, New Glasgow; David (Cheryl) Patterson, Alberta; 9 nieces and nephews Wendy, Jennifer, Zachary Jeffrey, Carli, Jacqueline, Maddeline, Jamie and Cory and several, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of a service at 11 am on Friday, July 19, 2019 in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson presiding. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. No flowers by request.  Donations in his memory may be made to the Mental Health Association. www.angusfuneralhomes.com
