Obituary of Doug MacLean
Douglas Wayne MacLean age 76 of New Glasgow passed away on June 13, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late William Henry and Annie Mae (Napier) MacLean.
Doug had worked as the manager of the Antigonish Bowling Alley and later went to work for Pepsi. He was an avid bowler and dart player, a member of Branch 34 Royal Canadian Legion, New Glasgow and the New Glasgow Elks Club. Doug was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Doug is survived by his twin sister Doris MacLean, Montreal; sister Dorothy Feltmate, New Glasgow; brother Delbert (Linda) MacLean; New Glasgow; nephews Wayne (Debbie), Bayview; Darren (Lindsay), New Brunswick; niece Tracy (Scott), Truro; great-nephew Chris, Bayview; great-niece Kimberly, Pictou.
He was predeceased by brothers Ray, Donald, Allister, and Lloyd and a niece Kelli Leigh MacLean.
Visitation will be from 7-9 pm on Saturday and 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 17, 2019 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the New Glasgow Elks Club a charity of your choice.
