Daniec, Maria "Mary", 92 of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow formerly of Rutherford Street, Stellarton passed away March 25, 2019 in the manor.
Born in Austria she was a daughter of the late Maximillon and Maria(Prunner) Zallinger.
Mary was a resident of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow for the past 5 years having previously resided in Stellarton since 1951.
She was a former employee of the Aberdeen Hospital Housekeeping Department where she worked for some 20 years before she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Stellarton.
She is survived by sons: Joe(Cassie), Stellarton; Mitchell, Stellarton; Johnny, Edmonton; Paul(Pam), Truro; daughters: Freda Daniec, Hamilton; Susan(Jerry)Silker, Hamilton; 8 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter Rita.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm Friday at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Saturday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with father Barrett Clare-Johnson presiding.
Burial of ashes will take place in the parish cemetery at a later date.
