Jesse built a small cottage for us near Dorset. We worked together on a lot of projects here at Kawagama lake. He did the work in about 2003 to 2005. It was done with care and incredible attention to detail. There isn’t a day way don’t think of him when we look and live in his work.
He was about 55 at the time, and he’d always say I may be 55, but inside I think and feel like I did when I was 25.
We stayed in touch by phone right up until March of this year. Sadly I was not getting through and feared the worst.
He was alone a lot, but seemed to be okay with that. He was always happy to visit and share his many stories. His life made a difference in this world and I will miss our chats. Darn, would liked to have said goodbye.
I’m glad I had a chance just this year to tell him once again how much we appreciated his work here.
