Lorge, Roderick Barry, 62 of Thorburn passed away on Saturday March 2, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Armand Sr. and Christene (English) Lorge.
Roddie was a lifelong resident of Thorburn and was a former employee of Hawker Siddeley. There were two things in life Roddie got great enjoyment out of, his Misery Mt. Resort and his old Ford truck Goldie . He also liked listening to music and going to the cottage.
Surviving are sisters; Dianne Lorge, Blue Acres; Jennie (Harold) Halliday, Westville; Cecelia Sartoris, Thorburn; a brother Armand (Sharon) Lorge, Thorburn; chosen brother, John Shirk; nieces: Cavelle, Michelle and Jennifer Bowser, Carleigh, Katelyn and Michaela Sartoris; nephews Randy Halliday, Craig, Dana and Matthew Lorge, close friend, Todd Mullin.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and7-9 P.M. Wednesday in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home from where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2pm with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating.
Donations in memory of Roddie may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation .
