Obituary of David Carrigan

David Albert Carrigan, age 73, of New Glasgow, and formerly of Stellarton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow he was the son of the late Percival and Thelma (Connors) Carrigan.
David was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force until he started his career at Scott Paper/Kimberly Clark from where he retired after 35 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years Karleen (Porter) daughter Lee Ann Stacey (James Powers) and son David Mark Carrigan (Patsy) grandchildren Adam and Jenna Stacey, Matthew (Samantha) Carrigan and Sarah Carrigan, great grandchildren Zachery and Isabel Carrigan, step grandchildren Anna Marie, Sarah, Sam and Mary Frances, sister-in-law Rhonda (Bobby) Hamilton, nieces Michelle, Janet and Rachel.
David was predeceased by his parents and nephew Mark Hamilton.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 19th from 6-9 P.M. in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King St., New Glasgow. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday Feb 20th at 2 P.M. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of David may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Society, Summer Street Industries or to a charity of one’s choice. Family flowers only please. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home.
