Chikness, William Raynold , 77 of Elk Court, Brookfield, formerly of Stellarton, passed away on February 5, 2019 in Elk Court, Brookfield.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late John and Margaret (Bell) Chikness.
William was a resident of Elk Court for the past 5 years having previously resided in Halifax. He served in the RCAF for some 20 years in Europe and Canada, where he was employed as a Airframe Technician.
He is survived by a brother Fred Cooper(Paula), Stellarton; sisters; Alyce Frostt, Stellarton; Helen Smith, Hopewell; Linda Works, Stellarton; sisters-in-law; Hazel Chickness, Stellarton; Diana Shakness, Westville Road; brothers-in-law; John Farrell, Pine Tree; Raymond Jordan, Riverton; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers; Johnie Chickness, Earle Shakness, James Albert Shakness, sisters; Ruth Baudoux, Jessie, Margaret Mabey, Catherine Cooper, Theresa Farrell, Camella Jordan.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of William’s life will be held from 2-3pm Tuesday February 12, 2019 at Elk Court, 91 Carter Road, Brookfield where William resided the past 5 years.
A Graveside Committal service will be held 11am Wednesday at the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson presiding.
