Obituary of James MacKinnon

James T (Jim) McKinnon It is with heavy hearts that we announce Jim’s sudden passing on January 3, 2019 at home at the age of 73. Jim was a quiet, kind and gentle man. In his early years he was employed with New Glasgow Express and Atlantic Wholesalers as a truck driver. In his later years he was employed by several cab companies. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish New Glasgow. Jim is survived by his son Shannon (Tammy), Twin Brother Bob (Linda), Nfld., Don (Carol Ann), Cape Breton and Jerry (Lois), New Glasgow. Sisters Leslie (Randy) MacEachern and Isabelle Henderson. He was predeceased by his Mother Bridget and Father Gerald, Sister Dianne and Brother in Law, David Henderson. There will be no visitation or service by request. The family will celebrate Jim’s life in private. Cremation has taken place. In Jim’s memory donations can be made to the Sister Catherine Steele Center or the SPCA. Arrangements are under the care of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home.
