Obituary of Layton Desmond

It is with great sorrow we announce that Desmond, Layton (layt) Marshall , 73 of New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday November 20th, 2018 at the Aberdeen hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Olive Desmond and a brother and sister Norman and Durcella. He is survived by his wife, Beryl Desmond (New Glasgow), son Dean (Erika) Chilliwack B.C., daughters Terri and Phyllis (Steven) Toronto, Ontario. Sisters Verna (Foster) Elms and Carolyn of New Glasgow, Sal (Rob) Pyke North River. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was a passed employee of the Maritime steel and New Glasgow foundry and was currently employed by Northern Pulp. Always smiling and laughing, he will be greatly missed. The family would like to express many thanks and gratitude to family, friends and the palliative care unit. A family funeral was held on Friday November 23rd.
A celebration of life will be held at the New Glasgow legion branch 34 on Saturday, November 24th from noon to 6pm.
