It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Kenneth G. MacDonald of Highland Drive, New Glasgow announce his passing on October 17, 2018 in the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow with his loving family by his side. Born in Priestville, Kenny was a son of Henry and Harriet MacDonald. He was a very private person, but honest, kind, and generous to many. Kenny’s work life began in Toronto and ended by retiring from Michelin Tire. Kenny is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley, his two sons, Kirby, Bedford; and Trevor (Sonya), Trenton; two grandsons, Nicholas and Braden MacDonald; brother Ronald (Lois) MacDonald, Ontario; sisters-in-law Fran (Clark) Savage, Janet (David) Hogan; brothers-in-law William Rector, Lawrence Richards and Fred Wright and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Nora Rector, Thelma (Arthur) Mancini, Eva Richards, Vivian Wright and infant sister Vera and brother-in-law Arthur Mancini . Visitation will be on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 20, 2018 with Rev. Morley Shaw officiating. Internment will be in Stillman Cemetery, Saltsprings. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society. www.angusfuneralhomes
