Lorne : Eleanor L. Dunbar age 97 of Lorne ,Pictou County passed away peacefully on Oct 9th ,2018 at Valley View Villa ,Riverton ,with Janet and Jana by her side. Born in Elgin she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Langille) Shaw. She is survived by sister-in-law Marion Shaw of Elgin, nephews John (Janet) Shaw of Lorne and their family , Dave(Lorna) Shaw of Elgin and their family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Eleanor will be deeply missed by her extended caring and compassionate family on 2nd floor of the Valley View Villa . Special thanks to Chester Dewar for all the meals made by him and Lori. Many thanks also to Eleanor’s extended family at High Crest Home , Forbes St. New Glasgow who took great care of her before her move to Valley View Villa. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Russell ,brothers : John ,Newton and Dan ,sisters : Marie ,Peg , Dorothy ,Josephine and Lillian. A public graveside service will be held on Sunday October 14th ,2018 at 2 P.M. in the St. Columba Cemetery , Hopewell with Rev. Dr. Jim Schaffer officiating. Donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel ,Stellarton.
