Obituary of Randy Ivan Doucette
Please share a memory of Randy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the family of Randy Doucette announces his passing after a long battle with cancer on October 3, 2018, at the age of 55 years at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow. Randy leaves behind his parents Ivan and Jean Doucette, children; Keauna, Kayden, Ryan, Justin and Megan, grandchildren, his sister Heather Doucette, niece Emilie Doucette, and special friend Annette MacLaren. Randy was predeceased by an infant brother Randy and sister Shelley along with maternal and paternal grandparents.
Born in Yarmouth, Randy was manager of the A&W restaurant and Empire Theatre and was a long-time member of the Auxiliary RCMP. He moved to New Glasgow to take a position with Empire Theatre. At the time of his illness, he was employed with Stark Industries.
Randy had a passion for travel and loved to frequently visit Cuba. His quick wit and humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by H.C MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel in Stellarton.
Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Stellarton on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson presiding. Burial will take place in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth at a later date.
It was Randy’s request that any donations be made payable to Heather Doucette (executor of the estate), or via email transfer to RDoucettememorial@yahoo.com , to be held in an educational trust for his children.
