Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Burke

Elizabeth A. Burke Barney’s River, NS Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Burke passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Born June 14, 1945 in Stewiacke she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Leslie and Kathleen Bell (Harvey) Adams. Mom lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, wife and friend. She was a quiet, kindhearted lady with a special place in her heart for her beloved grandchildren who brought her so much happiness. She loved the beach, photography, animals, Yahtzee, crafts and she was known for her awesome biscuits and beautiful quilts! Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Gerard, a daughter, Sherry (Terry) Cheek of Hopewell, sons Gerard (Angela) of Middleton and Shane (Dana) of Bethlehem, PA; grandchildren, Dylan (Kendal), Oliver, Eden, Erin, Erica, Riley and Liam; sister, Patricia Stevenson (Andrew) of Westville, brother, Carl Adams of Ontario and numerous in-laws nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Wane Adams and numerous in-laws. Special heartfelt thank you to the staff at the QEII Cardiac ICU for their dedication and care with Mom. It was Betty’s wishes that there be no services. Cremation has taken place and private burial at a later date. Rest in peace Mom, we love you and will dearly miss you until we meet again!
