Please share a memory of Helen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Helen Marie Flemming, May 14, 1928-September 12, 2018 With heavy hearts, the family of Helen Marie Flemming of Riverton announce her passing on September 12, 2018, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital. Helen was 90 years of age and had a life well lived. Her goal was to reach 100, but that was not to be. Helen was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Fanning) Scott of Stellarton. Helen is survived by her husband Bradford Flemming, daughter Linda Scott {Lauchie) Thorburn and son Scott Cameron (Verna)Pictou Landing, grandchildren David Cameron (Carla), Jonathon MacKay (Jennifer), Tim Agnew (Amanda), Jason Cameron, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her first husband Willis (Lindy)Cameron and infant son, Willis Jr. Among her many accomplishments, Helen was very proud of being Chairman of the Poppy Campaign for the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 28, Stellarton, for several years. We would be terribly remiss if we didn’t mention that our mom was the best knitter in all history. During the last 4 months of mom’s life, we were blessed to have her caregiver, Janice Pottie and her daughter Christie in our lives. They are now a part of our family and we shall be eternally grateful for the love and support shown to all of us. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation as per mom’s wishes. There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Donations in mom’s memory can be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Aberdeen Hospital or the charity of your choice. angusfuneralhomes.com
