Obituary of William Henry Enfield

,William Henry "Bill" Enfield, Blue Mountain William Henry "Bill" Enfield age, 94 of Blue Mountain, Pictou County, NS went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by all his family, Aug. 7, 2018, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Montreal, Sept. 25, 1923, he was the son of the late Charles John and Sarah Emma (Jenkins) Enfield. William is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Bill started work at the early age of 14, delivering groceries by bicycle and moving on to a bakery. Working hard was instilled in our father at an early age. He was brought up. He was raised to stick up for what he believed to be right and fair. Bill received his trade in tool, die and machinist at Can Car in Montreal then in 1945 transferred to Hawker Siddeley, Trenton, Nova Scotia in 1962. He was acting supervisor for tool, die and jigs department. He loved to bowl, fish and many other sports, being very competitive and fair in his play. Dad enjoyed a game of golf up to the age of 93! He is survived by his children Lloyd (Elvira), Enfield, French River, Brian (Susan) Enfield, Halifax, Brenda (Darrell) Webb, Piedmont; Bruce (Catherine) Enfield, Blue Mountain; Eileen Enfield, Trenton; grandchildren Margaret (Courtney), Tracy (Craig), Steven (Katrina), Christopher (Shelly) Matt (Ceilidh), Logan (Hillary) Landon (Jenn), Emily, Kirk, Storm, Katie, Samantha (Paul), Blake and Daniel; great-grandchildren Dustin, Ethan, Chloe, Skye, Carson Owen, Alana, Jack, Dexter and Lilly. Bill was predeceased by a brothers, Jim, George, Charles, Sidney and Gordon; sisters Lilly, Mary , Sarah and Nellie. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 10, 2018 with Debbie Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Mountain Cemetery.
