Obituary of Alice Margeson

Alice "Marie" (MacNeill) Margeson We are very sad to announce the passing of our dear Mother Marie on July 25, 2018 at the age of 85. Born in Pictou, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Lee and Jessie Harris (MacDonald) MacNeill. Mom loved her family deeply and was very proud of her six children and her four grandsons. She was the best Mom a family could ever hope for as our home was always filled with love and great food. Our bodies and souls were nourished with our parents love and kindness all of our life. Mom spoiled us our entire lives, creating several deserts with every meal. She provided love and support on all occasions, regardless of the circumstances. She loved listening to music and dancing with Ross as often as possible. In her younger years skating was another passion that she enjoyed. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Donna McDonald (Chris), Bruce (Diane), Robert (Pam), Donald and Christopher (Amanda). Mom will also be lovingly remembered by her four grandsons, Chris, Greg, Jake and Matt. She was predeceased by her parents Lawrence Lee and Jessie Harris MacNeill, loving husband Ross, son Glenn, siblings Ruth (in infancy), Dorothy (Mrs. Graham MacDonald), Orvis, Douglas and Carol (Mrs. Murray Innis). Mom loved all of her six children and four grandchildren. She loved all of her siblings, brother and sister in-laws and all her nieces and nephews. She greatly enjoyed sharing her deserts with all of them. She loved nothing more than spending time with family. The last few years have been a challenge for Mom. We admire her greatly for her steadfast determination and continuous desire to improve. We will miss her immensely. We wish to thank the very kind and caring staff at Northwood 7 Centre for taking such great care of our Mom for the past seven months. There will be no visitation by request. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm on Monday, July 30, 2018 in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery, Pictou.
