Obituary of Allan Murray Ferguson

Allan Murray Ferguson, age 85, of Durham passed away on July 24, 2018 in East Cumberland Lodge in Pugwash. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Clare and Henrietta (MacKenzie) Ferguson.
Allan was a resident of Durham for the past 40 years. He was a retired employee of Maritime Tel & Tel and was an active volunteer within the community. Allan loved bowling, snowmobiling and spending time outdoors. He was one of the founding members of the Pictou County YMCA and was a long-time member of the Pictou County Y’s Men.
He is survived by his children Craig (Rose Marie) Ferguson, Carol-Anne "Annie" Ferguson, Susan (Dwaine) Delorey, and Christopher "Chris" Ferguson; 5 grandchildren Spencer (Katie), Justin, Bradley, Caleigh, Maximo and 1 great-grandson Riley.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of memorial service at 2 pm on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Private family burial will be held later in the Brookside Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Pictou County YMCA or a charity of your choice.
