Tilemahos "Nick" Kavadias
1951-2018
Kavadias, Nick of New Glasgow passed away July 16, 2018 at the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in Zambia he was the eldest son of the late Odysseus Kavadias and Janula(Zaverdinos)Kavadias, Athens, Greece.
He is survived by his loving wife Maureen, New Glasgow; his mother Janula, Athens, Greece; a brother Gerry, Athens, Greece; and a nephew Alexandros, Athens, Greece.
Nick worked with IBM throughout his entire career, starting in Zambia, then London, UK; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Nova Scotia since 1999.
He was enthusiastic about sports especially Squash. He volunteered at New Hope and Summer Street Industries teaching computer skills. He also volunteered with the annual dragon boat races for a number of years.
Cremation has take place and by request there will be no visitation. A private burial will take place in Marion Bridge, Cape Breton at a later date.
The family would like to express thank you to the entire Glen Haven Staff especially those on River Glen, who cared for Nick as if he were their own.
