Obituary of Beatrice Spears

Westville : Beatrice Elsie (Rutledge) Spears age 63 of Munro Street ,Westville formerly of Stellarton passed away on May 13th ,2018 in Orlando ,Florida . Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Stewart) Rutledge. Bea was a bookkeeper by trade having worked for various businesses. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Bea was a member of the Pictou County Crohn’s and Colitis Group and the Pictou County Ostomy Group. Playing cards and darts were things Bea enjoyed doing. Her greatest joy in life was her family especially her grandsons and great grandson. She is survived by her husband Carl Spears , daughter Christa (Edward) of Stellarton ,son Joe (Meghan) of North Bay . Sisters , Pearl (Fred) McInnis of Morninville , Alberta , Jennie (David) Meisner of Pictou Landing, Sheila (Kenny) MacLeod of Riverton , brother John(Hardy) Rutledge of Stellarton . Grandsons Keith Johnathon , Rylie ,T.J. and great grandson Sawyer , many nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her parents ,brothers Wayne ,Stew and Gary. The family will receive visitors from 7-9 P.M. on Wednesday ,June 6th in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home 256 King St. ,New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday , June 7th from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Barrett Clare -Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Bea may be made to Pictou County Ostomy Group ,the Crohn’s and Colitis Pictou County Group or to a charity of one’s choice.
