MacLeod, Neilla Marion, 62 of the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou formerly of Mountville, Pictou County passed away peacefully Friday May 4, 2018 in the Oddfellows Home.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Rona(Cottie)MacIntosh.
Live, Laugh and Love, Neilla always left a lasting impression to all her met her. Her eyes were full of life, her laugh, contagious, and her heart held a special place for each and everyone of us. If she wasn’t busy taking care of others, she was running the roads visiting with family and friends or tying up the phone lines.
Neilla worked many jobs but always returned to the role of caregiver. She touched several hearts and warmed the hands of many souls.
A special thank you to the Adult Day Program, the VON, and all the staff at the Glen Haven Manor and Oddfellow Home.
She is survived by her beloved husband Allan MacLeod, sons; Shane(Angela)MacLeod, Justin MacLeod(Sandra Gaudet), her pride and joy, granddaughter Abby MacLeod, brothers; Normie MacIntosh, Jerry Fogarty(Ontario), sisters; Susie Russell, Lori MacIntosh, as well as many nieces and nephews, and her childhood friend and soulmate Martha Wynands.
She was predeceased by her brother Raymond MacIntosh, a nephew Sheldon DeYoung, brother-in-law Edward MacLeod.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday from where funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday with Rev. Charles MacPherson presiding. Burial will take place in the Castle Hill Cemetery, MacLellan’s Brook.
Donations in memory of Neilla may be made to the Pictou County VON Adult Day Program, the Nova Scotia Alzheimers Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
