Obituary of Grace Richardson

Richardson, Grace age 99, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow.
Born on August 25, 1918 in Trenton and lived most of her life in Stellarton.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Edith and Alfred Harper, her husband Neil Richardson and her siblings Col Dennis Harper, Phyllis (Cameron) and Winnie (Martin), a grandson Bryce Bradley Richardson, a great-grandson Andrew Edja Warren Fraser.
She leaves behind her devoted children Clifford (Claire), Bryce (Joan), Judy (Warren) and Brian (Sandra). Grace (Nanny) was extremely proud of her 10 grandchildren: Neil (Terri), Grace (Tim), Jeff (Allyson), Jennifer (Terry), David (Tatiana), Marc (Lorie), Lynn (Rob), Laura (Ryan), and Adrienne (Dan). She was also very proud of her 23 great-grandchildren: Jessica, Kristy, Josh, Zachary, Brandon, Kassidy, Cameryn, Hannah, Jamie, Willam, Brooke, Nikki, Carly, Blake, Nicholas, Brooke, Carter, Alexander, Sloan, Laughlan, Nathaniel, Blake, Cole. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was a hard worker all of her life and a long time employee of the Aberdeen hospital. She was also a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church Group in Stellarton. Mom enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, zest for life, her love for knitting, her positive attitude and devotion to her family and friends. Thank you to Diane for Thursday night bingo, to Elaine, Connie and Isabelle for all of the baked goods, to Jeannie, Melissa, Jim and Roddie for being such great neighbors and to Bonnie for all of the trips to Trenton.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel in Stellarton.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 21 at 2:00PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Stellarton with Rev. Charles MacPherson presiding. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will take place at a later date.
