Thompson, June- It is with sadness that we announce the passing of June ( MacEwan) Thompson of Stellarton NS , on March 14th 2018 at Valley View Villa.
June was born in Westville to Gertrude (Joudrey) and Thomas MacEwan.
She married John Thompson of Stellarton and together they raised two children Susan and Christopher. She spent the majority of her working life at the Aberdeen Hospital as a secretary in the pathology lab , where she was always known for her great sense of style. Anyone who knew June would remember her great passion for shoes, and in later years books. She was an avid reader.
June is predeceased by her husband John Thompson, her parents Thomas and Gertrude MacEwan, brothers Harry (Christine), Richard (Doreen), Allister, Percy, John Robert, Chester and sisters Jean, Muriel (Bellam), Brownie (Don) Urquhart, sister-in-law Faye MacEwan.
She is survived by her daughter Susan, and son Christopher (Tanya) and her grandchildren: Aaron and Natasha (Bryce) and great grandchildren Angus and Tali, brothers Elwood (Doris), Nelson, Mike (Judy) and her sister Trixie.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside committal service will be held at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Special thanks to her niece Jean Williams, for all her love and support. As well as Dr. Elliott and the exceptional staff at Valley View Villa.
