Obituary of Joyce Dean

Joyce Dean age 77 of the Valley View Villa, Riverton passed away on Feb. 25, 2018 in the Villa. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late G. Michael and Gladys (Cormier) Krowtz. Joyce worked as a medical librarian at the Halifax infirmary and the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow until she took sick and left the profession to raise her son. She was a loving mother who took pride in raising her son by giving him unconditional love each and every day, her smile grew with excitement as she seen him . She enjoyed travelling south with family and friends, playing cards (auction 45’s), was in a card club for many years, enjoying the multiple conversations that took place. She held multiple parties, housewarmings, baby and wedding showers for family and friends. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her big wins She is survived by her son Robert(Kathleen) Predeceased by her parents Visitation will be from 7-9 pm on Wednesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton from where funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday with Father Barrett- Clare Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery, Westville. Donations in her memory may be made to the Valley View Villa Recreation Program.
