Obituary of Donna Marie Dinham

Donna Marie Dinham age 70 of Glen Haven Manor formerly of High Crest Place, New Glasgow and Stellarton passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Feb. 22, 2018 in the Glen Haven Manor. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Edith (Callahan) MacKenzie. Donna grew up in Stellarton and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. She worked for a number of years at the Glen Haven Manor from where she retired. In earlier years she had worked at a number of different hospitals including the Aberdeen, the Janeway Children’s Hospital in Newfoundland and the Royal Victoria in Montreal. She is survived by her children Clyde Frederick (Kathy), New Glasgow; Greg, Medicine Hatt, AB; Angela Dinham (Ralph), Thorburn; grandchildren Keegan, and Kennedy, great -grandson Eli; brother Alex (Betty Lou) MacKenzie, Toronto; sisters Patti (Allison) Leil, Thorburn; Diane Murray, Stellarton; Adrienne (Gordon) Parker MacLeod, New Glasgow; Pauline (Don) Finlayson, Huntington, QE; Edie MacKenzie, Vancouver; Ana (Lenoid) Pereria, Columbus, Ohio; aunt Marie Belland, Antigonish; and her sons Mike , Greg and John Belland. Donna is also survived by her special friend and companion Paul Packer and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Murdoch, Robert and Michael, sister Sylvia and uncle Maurice Belland and cousin Allan Belland. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. Funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Wednesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the parish Cemetery.
