Mabel MacEachern formally of 80 View Street New Glasgow passed away peacefully, on February 18th 2018 at the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by her family and close friends. Mabel was predeceased by her parents Fraser and Minnie Urquhart. Mabel is survived by her sons Kim (Jean), Coldbrook; Glen (Carla), Thorburn; Brent (Tami), New Glasgow; and Gary (Cynthia), Toronto. Grandchildren who were the love of her life, Lauren (Alex), Lindsay (Tyler) Brandon, Jaden; sister Shirley (Doug) and sister Eva. Mabel was predeceased by Sonny MacEachern, son Craig, grandson Dylan, sister Joyce Weeks and brother Donald. Mabel worked most of her life at Sears Canada until her retirement. Mabel spent her free time reading books by her favourite authors and also enjoyed her time involved with the CWL at the Lourdes Church. Special thank you to the Doctors and nurses at the Aberdeen Hospital who gave such special care to our mom. Also, special thanks to the staff who gave special care to mom during her stay at the Glen Haven Manor. As a family, we would like to say a sincere and special thank you to Mary Carroll for being a great friend to our mom. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Children’s Wish Foundation that was very dear to mom or a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church On Saturday 11:00 am February 24th. 2018. Reception to follow. www.angusfuneralhomes.com
