Obituary of William Arthur

William Clifford "Bill" Arthur age 67, of Munroe Ave., New Glasgow passed away on January 10, 2018 at home. Born in New Glasgow, January 3, 1951, he was a son of the late George and Elsie (Taylor) Arthur.
Bill was a graduate of St. Mary’s University in Halifax, he lived in Montreal before moving back home with Sandi. Bill went to work at the Aberdeen Hospital retiring after working there for 30 years. He spent 11 winters down in Anna Marie Island. When asked "How’s Retirement? He would always say! "It’s the best job I ever had". Bill loved to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sandra (Cameron); children Jason (Tammy)Arthur, New Glasgow; Jennifer (Devin) Brown, Elrose, Saskatchewan; Diane (Graham) Cameron, Airdrie, Alberta; 7 grandchildren Sarah Arthur, New Glasgow; Thomas, David and Jillian Brown, Elrose, Saskatchewan; Alex, Andrew and Aaron Cameron, Airdrie, Alberta; sister Nancy (Fred) Scott, Fredericton, NB; aunt Irene Arthur, Moncton, NB.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother-in-law Fred, uncle Harold and aunts Bessie, Elda and Vivian.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Foundation.
