January 2, 2018. Fraser, Hugh Morrison, 80 of Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro formerly of Greenwood, Pictou County passed away December 29, 2017 at Cedarstone. Born in MacPherson’s Mills, Pictou County he was a son of the late James Morrison and Olive(Meikle)Fraser. Hugh was a resident of Greenwood, Pictou County for some 46 years. He retired form Michelin Tire after 22 years service. He was a member of the Hudson Masonic Lodge #77 AF&AM, Thorburn and the Shriners. He lived to hunt and fish and enjoyed playing cards and board games with friends or his many fishing buddies. He is survived by his wife the former Carol (Beiswanger), sons; Michael(Linda), Robert(Marjorie), a daughter Susan(Michael)Lank, grandchildren: Madison and Jaden Fraser, Brendan and Kristen Lank, a brother Ed(Janet), a sister Eleanor(Walter)Kirkwood. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Diane MacCulloch, a sister-in-law Margaret Clark. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday from the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn with Rev. Greg Dickson presiding. Burial of ashes will take place in the MacPherson’s Mills Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Hugh may be made to the MacPherson’s Mills Cemetery, the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn, the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or to a charity of one’s choice. Hudson Masonic Lodge #77 AF&AM, Thorburn will meet at the funeral home at 6:30pm Friday to conduct their service of remembrance. www.angusfuneralhomes.com
