December 17, 2017. Dykens, Lois Ascelia, 87 of Westville formerly of Springville passed away December 15, 2017 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Truman and Elizabeth( Seaman) Geddes. Lois was a resident of Westville for the past two and a half years where she resided with her son Garnet and daughter-in-law Lorraine. She had previously lived in Springville for some 25 years. Lois was a life long member of the Salvation Army where she was very involved in church activities. She was employed with Wearwell Garments in Stellarton for many years from where she retired. She loved and was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoying the time spent with them. She is survived by sons: Garnet(Lorraine)Fraser, Westville; Donald(Eleanor)Fraser, Saskatchewan; a daughter Judy(Larry)Andrews, Jacksonville, Florida; chosen son Jeff Oliver(Leah), New Glasgow; step-daughter Roberta"Robbie" Smith, Springville; grandchildren: Rebecca, Daniel, Marie, Sarah, Jamie, Chris and Dawn; many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Donald Wayne Fraser, second husband Mike Dykens, a daughter Lynn, a granddaughter Emma Locke, brothers: James, Garnet, Eldred, George and 2 siblings in infancy. Her remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday. Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday from the Salvation Army, Westville with Captain Wayne Pike presiding. Burial will follow in the Springville Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at the Salvation Army. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Salvation Army, Westville. www.angusfuneralhomes.com
