Fabian Cornelius Farrell, passed away suddenly at his home in Egerton, Nova Scotia on October 27, 2017 at the age of 82. Fabian will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Beverly (MacLeod) and his children Sharon, Gerald, Joanne Holmes (Raymond). Fabe will also be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren, Gregory, Reagan, Grace, Bryan, Ian, Abigail and Sydney, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his seven brothers and sisters.

Fabian was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. A son of the late Cornelius and Florence (Guthro) Farrell . He attended St. Francis Xavier University and Nova Scotia Tech, where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering. After working at Nova Scotia Power, he took a position with Jersey Central Power and Light in Morristown, New Jersey, where he was a substation manager.

Fabian was a parishioner of St Vincent Martyr Church in Madison, NJ. and was active in the Madison community as a Trustee of Madison Community Pool and The Discovery Club, where he shared his passion of photography with the club members.

In retirement Fabian and Beverly spent their winters in Little River, South Carolina and their summers in Egerton, Nova Scotia where he enjoyed sitting on his deck enjoying the water views, while being entertained by the eagle family that nested on his point. He was a master woodworker and enjoyed making furniture for his home and his family. Fabe had many interests, golf, NY Giants, current affairs, crossword puzzles, dancing, music and "Jeopardy".

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm, Tuesday, Oct 31, at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home in New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held in at Saint John the Baptist Church in New Glasgow on Wednesday, November 1 at 11:00 am with Father Tom MacNeil presiding. Reception to follow at their home, 359 Robertson Rd., Egerton. Donations may be made to The Aberdeen Hospital Auxiliary or the charity of your choice. Family flowers only.
