Adamson, Forrest Fraser, 94 of Westviile Road, New Glasgow formerly of Stellarton passed away September 12, 2017 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Stellarton he was a son of the late John and Ollie(MacLeod)Adamson.
Forrest was a resident of Stellarton for most of his life, having resided in Westville for a short time. He was a member of the Sharon St. John United Church in Stellarton as well as the Scotia Lodge I00F #11 Westville for the past 72 years. During his younger working years, he was employed with J.W. Sobey delivering groceries, as well as he worked at the Gun Shop in Trenton during WW11. He later went on to work for the CNR from where he retired with 39 years service.
He is survived by his daughters: Elizabeth(Doug)Hastings, Manitoba; Norma(Alexander "Sandy")MacGregor, Meadowville Station; grandchildren: Jacqueline, Tammy, Bella and Spencer; great-grandchildren: Richard, Marcy, Dylan and Austin; brothers: Justin, Stellarton Curtis, Charlottetown; special friend Betty Stephen.
He was predeceased by his first wife Isabel Clarke, second wife Ann MacDonald, a son Harland, a sister Vesta, brothers Weldon and Gerald.
His remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday from the Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton with Rev. Jim Shaffner presiding. Burial will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
