Kale Edward Mason 1998-2017 Gryphs # 88 It is with profound sadness that the family of Kale Mason announces his passing on Friday, May 19th, 2017. Born in New Glasgow, Kale was the beloved son of Kent and Debbie Mason, brother of Kade "Dinz", of Little Harbour, his love and soulmate Tracey Denny, Pictou Landing; and her loving family, Big Wayne, Bev, Gandace, Giger and Galvin. He graduated from the North Nova Education Centre last year and he lived his life dreaming of being a RCMP Officer. His dream was so intense that his white car with lights on top was easily visible and he was often seen in the school parking lot directing traffic. Loved and respected by everyone that knew him. Kale was an exceptional athlete playing hockey, (Pictou County Scotians) baseball and rugby. He enjoyed spending time with Tracey and had plans of a lifelong future together. He was presently working with G4S Security at the Halifax International Airport with his dad and was a fireman with the Little Harbour Fire Department. His kindness and sensitivity with family, people and animals will never be forgotten. Christmas was Kale’s favourite time of the year. When he enjoyed spending time with family, especially at the yearly Boxing Day party. Being a big hockey fan, he enjoyed and looked forward to the (Mason Cup) hockey challenge. Kale had a big smile, a big heart and a deep laugh that was infectious to everyone. He lived a clean social life, laughing constantly. Kale was proud of his "Bullpen" heritage being brought up on stories from his Grandfather (Gun) which he affectionally called "scoop" and his great Uncle Babe. He enjoyed walks in the woods and special time spent with his Grandmother (Channy). Besides his parents, Kale is survived by his grandparents, Granville (Gun) Hazel Mason Stellarton; the late Terry Gladney, New Glasgow; Uncle Kevin (Vesta) Mason, cousins Adam, Andrew and Emily, Stellarton; Aunt Kim (Derrick McNeil) cousin Kara Mason "Gara" Stellarton; Uncle Robbie (Lori) Gladney cousins Emily, Connor, and Landon Westville; Aunt Lisa Gladney (Chris) cousins Aiden and Ayla Westville.
