It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John James "Jack" MacPhee age 66 of Trenton formerly of Hopewell who passed away April 20, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late John James and Mary MacPhee. Jack was a retired employee of the Town of New Glasgow. He loved time spent with his grandchildren and long drives with Molly. Jack loved his trucks so much so, you could never be sure what he may be driving. He was an avid collector of watches and belt buckles. He always made time to talk and share stories with anyone he met along the way, whether an old friend or someone new. He is survived by children Wendy (V.J.) Earle, Trenton; John (Barb) MacPhee, Ontario; Gerald Joyce, St. John’s, Nfld.; Gerry (Tatiana) Joyce, Ontario; Charlene (Daniel) Benoit, Plymouth; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren Noah and Nathan; sister Theresa Corbett, Pictou; brother Roddy (Connie) MacPhee, Pictou; special long-time friend June MacPhee. He was predeceased by his wife Linda (Nolan), sisters Shirley, Hazel, Marsha, Thelma, Jenny, and Marie. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
