Obituary of Jessie Louise Terris

Jessie Louise Terris age 82, of Valley View Villa, Riverton formerly of Stellarton passed away March 31, 2017 in the Valley View Villa. Born in Thorburn she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Rector) MacAulay. Jessie worked at many jobs throughout the county including Highland Residential, the Metropolitan Store but she was most proud of her job at the Aberdeen School of Nursing where she worked as a House Mother from where she retired. She was a member of Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and CGIT Leader. She is survived by her children Wes (Elaine), Saskatoon, Sask.; Janet (James) Himmelman, Stellarton; John Terris, Brookfield; several grandchildren; brothers Herbert (Barb) MacAulay, Chilliwack, BC; John (Darlene) MacAulay, Walkerville; sisters May MacDonald, MacLellan’s Mountain; Helen (Lloyd) MacKinnon, Port Colbourne,; Bessie (Bob) Howe, Sunny Corner, NB; Diane (Phillip) Perry, New Glasgow; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, step-father Malcolm MacAulay; sister Annie Tibbo brothers Buddy MacAulay, Hugh MacAulay, and Siblings Jean, Louise, Donald in infancy. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel Stellarton. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday in Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton with Rev. Dr. James Schaffner officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Trenton.
