Shirley Anne Richardson, 82 of Stellarton passed away in the Aberdeen hospital peacefully following a brief illness on March 21,2017. Born in New Glasgow, September 25,1935 she was the oldest daughter of Murdena (Munroe) and the late Daniel MacLellan. Loving mother of Patricia Kermath, Ontario; Paul (Pam), New Brunswick; Philip (Teri), Todd (Rachel),Ontario. Also survived by cherished sisters Jessie MacWilliam, Loudelle (MacKenzie King), Catharine (Jim) Hiscott, Regan (Robin) Campbell, a brother William (Bill) MacLellan and his wife Sybil. Shirley known as Nana Banana to her grandchildren Alan, Jamie, Kelsie, Jeremy, Krystal, Jessica, Chelsea, Rayna, Colby, Evan and her 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Shirley moved to Ontario as a young women where she married and raised her family. Employed in various secretarial and retail jobs through out her career. She returned to Pictou County approximately 20 years ago where she shared her various knitting skills with many. Shirley will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Cremation to take place. There will be no visitation or services at this time. A memorial services will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel.
