Obituary of Annie May Pentz

Annie May Pentz (Farrell) 1926 – 2017 Riverton Mom passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, February 14, 2017 at home. She was born in Trenton the daughter of the late Ignatius and Mary (Gerrior) Farrell. Mom was a loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She loved to travel and made many bus trips to Ireland, Scotland, across Canada and the United States. I doubt if she missed any of the Countries over seas. She loved to talk about her adventures. Mom loved to play cards and rarely missed a game. She talked often about the wonderful friends she met over the years at the card games. Mom will be dearly missed by her son Lloyd (Catherine) Pentz; Barbara (Jim) Cleary; Janie (Raymond) Thomas; Molly Pentz (Charlie); Mary (Allan) MacMaster; Bernadette Pentz. Mom had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved their Nanny. Mom is survived by her sisters Toddy Blaicher, Ontario; Doddy (Busby) Shreenan, Lower Sackville; Christine (Robert) Oderkirk, Wolfville; Sonny (Ruth)Farrell, Waverly. Mom was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Pentz, a daughter Heather, two grandsons Donnie Pentz and Michael Cleary, sisters Mary, Catherine, Eileen; brothers John, Walter and Leonard. In honor of Mom’s wishes, the family will celebrate her life privately. Arrangements are entrusted to the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place in the Hopewell Cemetery at a later date.
