Mom...aka ''Addy", " Big A", "the Diva" was deeply loved by her 3 daughters, Karen Delaney ( Bernie), Fraser's Mountain, Kathy ( Bill Ervin), Black Point and Sandy (Dale Paris), New Glasgow.
Mom was born November 17, 1930 at home in New Glasgow NS to the late Paul and Etta (Cotter) Margeson. Mom was a proud member and 2nd oldest of a family of 9. She is survived by her cherished sister and brothers: Ida (Jimmy) O'Brien, Reg (Reolla), Ted (Anne), Lou (Kathy), sister in laws, Marie, Dorothy, Barb and several nieces and nephews, and their families, whom she loved dearly.
Mom was predeceased by her sister Jean and brother in law, Danny MacKinnon, brothers Richard, Ross and Doug, nephews Glenn and Aaron.
Mom received her education at New Glasgow High and her secretarial course in Halifax. For many years she worked as a Legal Secretary. In her younger years she worked as a picture tinter for Fred O MacLeod. She took the PCW course at age 55 and worked at Sunset Haven until she retired at age 65.
After retirement mom continued to volunteer at Sunset Haven for many years as well as the Museum of Industry. When mom was 57 she got her driver's license and bought her 1st brand new car, which she was so proud of!
Mom was a proud woman, full of strength, courage and determination. Mom had a strong work ethic, was always dressed to the 9s and had the best hairdo in town! Mom had a zest for life and loved to be on the go, driving her car, walking the Sampson Trail or Melmerby Beach. She was a beautiful skater and dancer. Mom loved a good game of cards and scrabble. We will cherish all the card and scrabble games with mom and her wonderful friend Lee.
